Adderall is a combination drug of two stimulants known as dextroamphetamine and amphetamine that helps treat Narcolepsy and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). 

It is not for use by anyone younger than three years old. In addition, Adderall is not under recommendation for use by a woman during pregnancy or breastfeeding a nursing baby. 


Take Adderall with or without food first thing in the morning. Swallow the whole capsule rather than chewing, crushing, breaking, or opening an extended-release pill. Take it precisely as per your doctor’s prescription. Follow all instructions on your prescription label. Occasionally, your doctor may change your dose. Avoid taking this medicine in smaller or larger amounts or for longer than suggested. 

Adderall may cause trouble sleeping, nervousness, fever, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach upset, or pain. Your doctor may frequently check your progress while taking this medicine. Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the other drugs you are using. Keep track of this medicine. Adderall side effects that may cause severe problem includes:


  • Shortness of breath;

  • Fainting;

  • Swelling in certain body parts;

  • Outbursts of words or sounds;

  • Severe headache;

  • Blurred vision;

  • Extreme tiredness;

  • Confusion;

  • Seizures;

  • Trouble speaking;

  • Prolonged or frequent erection in males

  • Uncontrolled movements;

  • Changes in sexual activity or desire;

  • Signs of blood flow issue in the toes or fingers (such as a change in skin color, pain, coldness, numbness); or

  • Mental disorders or mood changes include abnormal thoughts, suicidal thoughts, mood swings, depression, agitation, aggression.
